En el presente artículo se reflexiona sobre la importancia del bibliotecario en el desempeño de la actividad de información en los nuevos contextos, caracterizados por el uso intenso de las nuevas tecnologías y la explosión de la información. Se reseña sobre algunas técnicas de orientación en grupo, olvidadas o poco sistematizadas, que constituyen herramientas para el desarrollo de la actividad científica informativa del centro y la satisfacción de las necesidades informativas de nuestros usuarios en cada una de las unidades(AU)
The present article reflects on the importance of librarians in the performance of the information activity in the new contexts, characterized by the intense use of new technologies and the explosion of information. It reviews on some group orientation techniques, forgotten or little systematized, that constitute tools for the development of the informative scientific activity of the center and the satisfaction of the informative needs of our users in each of the institutions(AU)
